Samsung denied having sold 1 million Galaxy Folds

A Samsung representative confirmed that the company has sold more than 1 million Galaxy Fold foldable smartphones. However, Samsung has just denied this information.

At the TechCrunch Disrupt Belin conference, Samsung Electronics President Young Sohn said at least one million Galaxy Folds have been sold globally.

“We sold 1 million units to those who wanted to own a $ 2,000 smartphone,” said Mr. Sohn.

However, Samsung denied Mr Sohn’s statement.

According to Samsung’s announcement, the company’s spokesperson may have confused sales with the initial sales target set by the company. At the same time, the world’s leading smartphone company emphasizes that sales of the first folding smartphones have not reached 1 million units.

Analysts predict Samsung will sell between 400,000 and 500,000 Galaxy Folds in 2019. But it has yet to announce exact sales of its first foldable smartphone.
